Terms of Service – Painting Now by WJ Services

Welcome to Painting Now by WJ Services, your trusted residential and commercial painting company based in Malden, Massachusetts.
By requesting an estimate, scheduling a project, or using our services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Scope of Services

Painting Now provides professional interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, drywall repair, and related finishing services.
All work is performed using high-quality materials and in accordance with Massachusetts building and safety standards.

2. Estimates and Payments

All estimates are free and valid for 30 days.
Once approved, the final price and project schedule will be confirmed in writing.
For projects that fall under the Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor Law (M.G.L. c.142A), written contracts are required.
Deposits will not exceed one-third (1/3) of the total project value unless materials must be specially ordered.

3. Licensing and Insurance

Painting Now by WJ Services operates in compliance with Massachusetts regulations.
We are fully insured and registered where required to perform residential and commercial painting projects.
Clients may request proof of insurance or registration at any time.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Clients must provide safe and clear access to work areas and remove fragile or personal items before work begins.
Painting Now is not responsible for damage to items that were not removed or protected by the client.

5. Project Changes and Delays

Any change in project scope or materials must be approved by both parties in writing.
Unforeseen issues such as weather conditions or hidden surface damage may affect timelines, and we’ll always communicate updates promptly.

6. Warranty and Quality

All painting services are performed by experienced professionals and come with a limited workmanship warranty.
Touch-ups or warranty claims must be reported within 30 days of project completion.

7. Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel within three (3) business days of signing a service agreement, as allowed by Massachusetts law.
After this period, cancellation fees may apply for materials ordered or work already completed.

8. Liability Limitation

Painting Now is not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, property access issues).
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project.

9. Photography and Portfolio Use

We may take before-and-after photos of completed projects for our portfolio and marketing, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
